Note: Georg Vest, head of the Vest “Dynasty” of potters, was the first potter of note to be listed in Kreussen; he arrived there from Vienna in 1512. Johann Georg Schmidt is generally taken to be the last famous Kreussen potter. He took his own life in 1760.
