Durlacher Fayencewalzenkrug 1819 Datiert

Weiß glasierter Krug mit leuchtend bunter Scharffeuermalerei. In einer nach oben offenen Rocaillenrahmung die Werkzeuge der Zimmermannszunft sowie die Inschrift in Fraktur: “Johan Arnold 1819 Soldat bei der Grosh. Bad. Leibgrenadir Garde Vievat lustig Grenadir der Wein schmackt besser als das Bier”. Auf dem Lippenrand umlaufende Borte, seitlich Blütenzweige. Henkel mit Blattverzierung.

Zinnmontiert.

Durlach Faience Stein, Dated 1819

White glazed stein with brilliantly colored “Scharffeuer” painting. In a rocaille which is open towards the top are the tools of the carpenters guild, as well as in fraktur script the inscription “Johan Arnold 1819. Soldier with the Archduke of Baden Personal Grenadier Regiment. Live merrily Grenadier, wine tastes better than beer.” A border runs along the lip of the body. On the sides are branches with blossoms. Handle has leaf decoration.
