The “standard” version of this stein has a relief label on an “antiqued” body. A variation exists which replaces the normally plain handle with what has become known as a “twig” handle . Another version is similar in appearance to the standard version but has a non-relief label. A third variation has a non-relief label with no border applied to a plain white body. There is also a painting variation which replaces standard coloration in the area around the label with cobalt blue (see “Notes on Content” re: Variations).
The same label was also applied to several different body styles (not pictured here) by Ceramarte, the American Art China Co., and possibly others, but these should not be considered to be CS22.
