While Anheuser-Busch currently acknowledges only Ceramarte as a maker of CS42, it is known that between 1984 and 1988 Albert Jac. Thewalt GmbH produced approximately 24,000 copies of the same piece. These are distinguishable from the Ceramarte version by Thewalt’s logo (see below) incised into the base. Lidded examples of the Ceramarte CS42 are known to exist, but were not sold by Anheuser-Busch and are probably the product of after-market additions. “Tall” versions have also been seen, but again were not sold by Anheuser-Busch in that configuration.
