The centrally depicted Reichstags Geb�ude (Parliament Building) housed the German Parliament from 1893 to 1933, when it was severely damaged by fire resulting from arson. Following reconstruction completed in 1999, the German Bundestag (House of Representatives) convened there for the first time that same year.
