The story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs has been told for hundreds of years in a number of different versions throughout Europe, but the most familiar comes to us from Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm’s Schneewittchen, published in their world famous compilation of Kinder- und Hausmärchen (Children’s and Household Tales), final edition, Berlin, 1857.
