The title of the scene on this stein has no direct English translation. The term “Schnadahüpfl” refers to a merry extempore ditty of four short lines, the 2nd and 4th lines rhyming, sung in the Bavarian and Austrian mountain areas. Delivering the ditty in this case is “Sepp” (short for “Joseph”) a name used to identify what might be considered the universal Bavarian male.
