Frauenadler and Dragons

Pottery or stoneware, relief, 0.25L, pewter lid.

The centrally depicted Frauenadler (eagle woman), a mythical creature with the head and breasts of a woman and the body of an eagle, has been a symbol of the City of Nuremberg (Nürnburg) since at least the 17th century.
