Central image depicts the historic Frankfurt R�mer (city hall). Originally configured from eight large homes, it has been the seat of Government in Frankfurt since 1405. Side images include Goethehaus, where the German author and statesman Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749-1832) was born and raised, as well as Paulskirche (St. Paul�s Church), which was consecrated in 1833 and served as the seat for the first German national assembly in 1848.
