Munich Souvenir

Catalog No. 5411

Pottery or stoneware, relief, 1.0L or 0.5L, pewter lid, marked WEKARA.

Created as the coat-of-arms or archival seal of Munich in 1239, the centrally depicted Mnchner Kindl (Munich Child) has evolved from a hooded monk standing in front of Munichs gate to a charming child and symbol of the city. The Hofbruhaus and the Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady), two well-known Munich landmarks, are pictured on the sides of the stein.

WEKARA is an acronym for Wilhelm E. Krumeich aus Ransbach, a Westerwald finishing shop and distributor.
