The central image on this jug depicts Melchizedek (or Melchisedech), King of Salem and a priest of God, blessing Abraham following a battle victory against the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah (Gen.14:10-20). The left side (below) shows Joshua and Caleb carrying grapes in Canaan (the Promised Land) while on a spying mission for Moses (Num. 13:17-25). On the right is a depiction of Moses on Mount Sinai receiving the Ten Commandments from God (Deut. 10:9).
