The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (B.P.O.E.) is an American fraternal order originally founded in 1868 as a social club for minstrel show performers. This special order stein was produced for a Portland, Oregon B.P.O.E. reunion in 1912. The 11th hour clock below the elk�s head in the central image is a traditional B.P.O.E. symbol for remembrance of departed members.
