HB Keller Souvenir Miniature

Catalog No. 317

Stoneware, relief, 0.0625L (1/16), pewter lid.

The HB Keller (or Hofbräukeller) is a restaurant in Munich, Germany owned by the Hofbräuhaus brewery. It is perhaps best known as the site of Adolf Hitler’s first political speech as a member of the German Workers’ Party, given on October 16, 1919.

Created as the coat-of-arms or archival seal of Munich in 1239, the centrally depicted Münchner Kindl (Munich Child) has evolved from a hooded monk standing in front of Munich’s gate to a charming child and symbol of the city.
