“Karoline”

Catalog No. 89

Porcelain, figural, 0.5L.

Facial characteristics, as well as the shell necklace and orchids in her hair, make it reasonably likely that this stein was intended to portray a native of the Karolinen Inseln (Caroline Islands), a large group of islands in the western Pacific Ocean that were owned by Germany from 1899 through the end of WWI.

Price Range: $4,000-$5,500
