Infantry Regiment No. 125 was garrisoned in Stuttgart and Tübingen.

The entwined “FR” on the lid inlay stands for “Friedrich Rex”, referring to King Friedrich I of Prussia, who ruled from 1688 to 1713 and after whom the regiment was named.

The same transfer decoration (1056) was also applied to steins made for the Stuttgart-based Infantry Regiment No. 119.
