Pottery, transfer, 0.5L, inlaid lid.
This rarely seen stein commemorates the 200th anniversary of the founding of the University of Halle/Salle in 1894. It was combined with Wittenberg University in 1817 and renamed the University of Halle-Wittenberg. The lid inlay shows the seal of the City of Halle and is encircled with the inscription of the University and dated 1694-1894.
This model number was also applied to a stein depicting the Polish city of Torun (Thorn).
