Pottery, relief, 0.3L, unlidded.
This stein, along with companion model numbers 2215 (0.5L) and 2217 (0.4L or 0.5L), does not appear in any known Mettlach factory catalog and was apparently designed principally for wholesale distribution to commercial users in unlidded and otherwise undecorated form. Note however that the handle is notched to accommodate pewter fittings, and examples are known to exist with aftermarket lids, as well as with body decorations applied over the factory glaze.
