Pottery or stoneware, relief, 0.5L, inlaid (stoneware only) or pewter lid.

Central image depicts Charlemagne or Charles the Great (747-814), whose empire included much of western and central Europe. Side images are of Julius Caesar (100-44 B.C.) and Alexander the Great (356-323 B.C.).

Note that earliest versions (blue-gray stoneware) did not show written names in conjunction with portraits.
