Götterdämmerung (Twilight of the Gods) was the final opera in Richard Wagner’s monumental cycle of four musical dramas, collectively entitled Der Ring des Nibelungen (The Ring of the Nibelungs). The images surrounding the stein are entitled: “Flosshilde with the Ring”; “Siegfried’s Arrival”; and “The Three Norns” (or Fates).
