Gooseman of Nuremberg

This stein is modeled after the central figure in the G�nsem�nnchen Brunnen (Gooseman Fountain) which graces the courtyard of City Hall in Nuremberg (N�rnburg). The statue of the Gooseman was cast in solid bronze by Pankraz Labenwolf in the 16th century. The Gooseman statue is also depicted in lithophane form at the bottom of No. 25.

Reproductions of this stein, some with markings similar to the originals, were made by Schierholz from about 1986 to 1995.
