The central image in this stein shows a mounted “Thirsty Knight” quenching his thirst with a large stein of beer. Although the convention was actually held at the “Meadowlands” complex in nearby New Jersey, the relief image of the Statue of Liberty on the lid and text that reads “SCI Convention 2001 New York“ clearly reflects the host chapter’s roots across the Hudson River.
