Guten Tag Rtkppchen, wo gehst du hin?
(Good day Little Red Riding Hood, where are you going?)
Aber, Grossmutter, was hast du fr lange Arme?
Dass ich dich besser umarmen kann.
Aber, Grossmutter, was hast du fr lange Ohren?
Dass ich dich besser hren kann.
Aber, Grossmutter, was hast du fr grosse Augen?
Dass ich dich besser sehen kann.
Aber, Grossmutter, was hast du fr ein entsetzliches Maul?
Dass ich dich besser fressen kann.

(But grandmother, why do you have such long arms?
So I can hug you better.
But grandmother, why do you have such long ears?
So that I can hear you better.
But grandmother, why do you have such big eyes?
So that I can see you better.
But grandmother, why do you have such a big mouth?
So I can eat you better.)

Little Red Riding Hood is the title character from a well-known folktale which first appeared in print as Le Petit Chaperon Rouge in a 1697 French text on morality by Charles Perrault. Through this story, young ladies were warned to never talk to strangers, lest they end up in the clutches of a wolf.
