The Zugspitze, at 7,918 feet, is the highest mountain in Germany. It lies near the town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen at the junction of the Loisach and Partnach valleys in Upper Bavaria.

This stein was produced by Merkelbach & Wick for distribution by Martin Pauson, a Munich finishing shop and distributor, and is typically bottom-marked �Martin Pauson/M�nchen�, often with an additional �M&W/Gr.� manufacturer�s mark.
